June Press is a boutique stationery design and letterpress studio specializing in wedding and event paperie and letterpress printing.
The studio owner, Zoe, has a special penchant for incorporating unconventional materials into her clients’ projects, often bringing in natural elements and unique fabrications for visual interest and an artisanal touch.
Branding
THE BRIEF
For the studio’s branding, Zoe wanted to venture outside of standard wedding industry aesthetics. She wanted her branding to be unique, so we took on the challenge of blending coastal style with florals. The floral leanings of the brand represent familiar wedding motifs, but we drew her elements in such a way that they also look like seashells and seaweed. There’s a level of intrigue and tension that leaves you wanting another look, and the texture we wove throughout the brand reinforces the natural materials she loves to work with.
We grounded her branding with a fully custom logotype, hand drawing each letter to have the perfect amount of movement, structure, balance and harmony with the logo as a whole. Then we complemented the logotype with a custom logomark and additional brand illustrations to reinforce the concept of “coastal cottage”–where florals meet the sea.
